DA-58 Warudaros (Soldier Type)

A relatively new threat sent by the invading alien Waruda, the Soldier Type is a dangerous humanoid Warudaros series attack machine, in Dark Cathode colors. Compare with Warudaros <Soldier Type II> in its anode color scheme.

First identified around the same time as the super-dreadnought class Warudaros Gigantor, there are an increasing amount of reports of many patterns of multiple Soldier Type machines forming a battle formation around a single Gigantor, it is assumed to be a direct cover machine protecting the Gigantor. This is the origin of its identification label, “Soldier Type”. This fearsome fighting machine is approximately the same size and volume as the Diaclone’s Corps’ Trivers series machines, and seems to have been given the role of disrupting and destroying the coordinated attack formation of the Vers machines. In other words, the Soldier Type can be viewed as an assassin tasked to destroy the Vers machines.

The appearance of the Warudaros Soldier Type is a humanoid form typical of the “Warudaros” series, but its fuselage is a hybrid Waruda mecha constructed with a similar component unit separation and bonding system as the Waruda Raider. It is piloted with unnerving skill by a Warudaoid fused to the Waruda Pod on its chest.

On its own, it uses its agile maneuverability and tremendous destructive power to carry out combat attacks, and by transforming its body into a so-called “twin-header” mode, it can carry out destructive attacks with its massive power arm, and by linking up with the Waruda Suit Waruda Raider, it can carry out attacks with the Multi-Prize ∞ Evolize at will. In addition, the Soldier Type can combine with the Gigantor’s via the Abzorize, transforming itself into a wicked looking arm unit to unleash devastating attacks.

Armament

The armament used in its humanoid form for combat attacks is a circular variable cutter unit connected to both shoulders, commonly known as the Rim Reaper, and a super-gravity hammer rod that can be suspended on its back, commonly known as the Death Hammer.

What are Warudaros?

The invading alien race, the Waruda, attack utilising a variety of battle machines which can take various forms. Although many different humanoid attack machines have been identified since the First War against the Waruda, it has been noted that a great many share distinctive similarities, such as the design of their head units (often described as “eerie” or “bug like”). These are categorized as “Warudaros”. They also commonly share a bipedal, body-type, although not exclusively.

Warudaros units come in a variety of sizes and can be upgraded and strengthened with their means of attack updated as a result.
