Diaclone Reboot is a ground-breaking, adult collectable toyline from Japan consisting of premium 1:60 scale figures, vehicles and mecha.
The original Diaclone line was released in Japan in 1980 but would gain worldwide recognition under a different name a few years later when Hasbro imported a large quantity of the line into America and the West and rebranded it as The Transformers.
The huge popularity across the World of The Transformers spelt the end for its parent line when the decision was mad to import it back into Japan under the new branding.
Diaclone, however, is where it all started. And, in 2015, TakaraTomy reimagined and rebooted the line. Diaclone was reborn as Diaclone Reboot!
The story so far
It is the near future and mankind’s discovery of the zero point energy source ‘Freezon’ leads to huge advances in science and technology.
Among the fruits of this golden age, both game-changing AI and generational robotics are developed, allowing for the design and construction of awe inspiring multi-purpose mecha.
A unified international military is formed to pilot this new technology. The Earth Defense Force: The Diaclone Corps.
United for the first time, mankind clonises the solar system and looks outside as one and dreams of the stars…
Across space in the Dark Nebula, mankind’s Freezon-fuelled paradigm shift draws the envious gaze of the ruthless alien Waruda, who have ravaged their home world to the point of total environmental collapse. They will stop at nothing to take the Freezon, and possibly the Earth itself, from us.
Their first strike devastates Earth’s Lunar Base. Their second attack completely obliterates the Mars Base, rendering it unusable to this day.
Then come attacks on Earth itself. The skies tear open and terrifying alien war machines pour through… with only the Diaclone forces to stand against them.
