Diaclone (ダイアクロン, Daiakuron) is a toyline from Takara Toys launched in 1980, each vehicle was piloted by one or more miniature figure(s), with magnet-soled boots.

Diaclone Reboot is the relaunched, re-envisioned line, from 2015 to date.

Yes and no.

It’s more the other way around.

Diaclone (along with a smattering of other transforming robot toys) was imported to America by Hasbro to rebrand as Transformers some four years later.

Remember how some G1 figures had cockpits but no pilot? That’s because the figure was repurposed from Diaclone.

Good question. After all the work we have put into it, we sometimes ask ourselves the same thing!!

It all comes down to love of the Diaclone line and a desire to help our fellow fans read about it in English.

There really aren’t too many English language Diaclone resources out there.

That’s why we are here.
