Diaclone’s General-Purpose Main Combat Machine: The latest iteration in the Dia-Battles series. The three-machine combination system and excellent aerial mobility inherit the DNA of the Dia-Battles series, which has been passed down since the first model. New combat functions are added with each model change, and the latest model, the V (Variable) series, is equipped with a that allows it to change form and continue fighting even if some machine units are destroyed or damaged during combat with the enemy and become inoperable.
In large-scale operations, two Dia-Battles Vs x three machines are often deployed as one unit.
The units in the arms, legs, and booster parts can be replaced. There are many replacement units for heavy assault, sabotage, space mobility, etc., and there are also custom machines specialized for the operation content and combat environment.
DA-01EX Dia-battles V2 Prototype (Moon Base Ver.)
An experimental variant of the Da-Battles V2, constructed at the Diaclone Moon Base. It was the first to be equipped with a newly developed ultra-compact Freezon Generator, and proved its incredible power in actual combat. It can produce high power because its generator output is higher than that of current machines, but it is difficult to control, so the pilot must have extremely high piloting skills.
Its other formidable capabilities are inherited from its standard counterpart, and include the following:
Battles 01
A versatile combat machine capable of operating in any environment, from outer space to the bottom of the ocean. It is piloted by a chief pilot and serves as the core of DiaBattles V2. A highly functional multi-sensor cluster called the “head unit” is stored in the center of the aircraft.
Battles 02
A high-speed flying combat machine with excellent maneuverability. It is composed of an arm weapon unit + air mobility booster and a single-seater bullet module that controls them. The arm weapon unit has many functional options, which can be selected and replaced depending on the operation.
Battles 03
A high-powered machine for land attacks. It can also maneuver in the air for short distances. It is made up of a leg variable mobility unit and a two-seater bullet module that controls it. The rear hangar is equipped with an armed bike for supporting ground attacks: the Road Viper. The leg mobility unit has many functional options, which can be selected and replaced depending on the operation.
Bullet Fighter
An attack support fighter formed by docking the bullet module from Battles 02 with Battles 03.
Road Viper
An armed attack motorcycle powered by a Freezon engine, equipped with four pulse blasters for on-road and off-road driving.
Diaclone Crew
The Diaclone Corps is an elite group selected from among the citizens of all zones to protect the Earth from major threats.
Additional armaments
Hammer Magnum
Battles 01: A superconducting railgun attached to an arm launcher. It fires a Hammerhead armor-piercing shell that can penetrate the bow and stern of a large aircraft carrier in an instant. The shells are loaded into the main body, and the maximum number of rounds can be 12.
Slug Cannon
Battles 01: A long-range free-zone beam cannon that attaches to the arm launcher. It has about 1/3 the destructive power of the Robot Base class large freezone beam cannon. Cannot be fired continuously due to the time required for reload charge.
Crash Calibur
A weapon that was converted from an optical particle rock cutter for space development into a fighting weapon. The edge generates a light blade made of diacrom photon crystals. Handling it requires a high level of fighting skill, so it must be licensed. Can be mounted on the Battles 02.
Three-machine combined mode
In its main Dia-Battles mode, which is a combination of three vehicles, the chief pilot of Battles 01 has full control of the combined system. The cockpit of 02 and 03 separate after the docking maneuver of the arm and leg maneuver units to form a small fighter for combat support. The Freezon Generator Resonance Activation Theory allows the combined power of attack and maneuver to be more than three times that of the combined unit.
Two Machine Combined modes
If all three components are not available, or if one aircraft becomes inoperable due to destruction or damage, etc., the aircraft is changed to the optimum maneuvering mode and the battle is continued. There is a form called “Mech Mode” that specializes in combat maneuvers such as walking, jumping, and fighting, and a form called “Heavy Machine Mode” that specializes in combat maneuvers such as flying and running.
Dia-Battles V2 Armaments
1 – Armament mount /
11 – Flexible armament mount
A movable gun turret with a launcher that can be equipped with various armament modules. The flexible arm mount has a high degree of freedom of movement, allowing for tricky attacks.
2 – Diacrom Photon Cutter Wing
An armament for cutting and slicing enemies in half by focusing a “blade of light” made of Diacrom photon crystals onto the edge of the wing. By dispersing the photon crystals, the entire wing surface can be turned into a protective shield.
3 – Freezon Plasma Ball Launcher
A weapon that converts the Freezon energy used for propulsion into a plasma fireball for attack. It can only be used when not in flight.
4) Arm Unit Forced Removal Device
A device that immediately detaches the arm unit. It can be used to replace an arm unit with a spare unit with a different function when it has been damaged by a bullet or is unusable during battle. In rare cases, it is used to escape from an enemy’s restraint attack.
5) Ultra blast-resistant cockpit unit
A cockpit equipped with a gravity field deflection shield protection system. It is a robust cockpit unit that can sustain the pilot’s life even if most of the fuselage is severely damaged in the most severe armor endurance test of the Diaclone Squadron, the Robot Base Class Freezone Beam Cannon Direct Fire Test. The cockpit of the Bollet Module is also equipped with a similar system.
6) Gatling Knuckle
A standard armament for the arms that replaces the Dia Punch that was equipped in the early to mid Battlestar series. Ultra-high compression graviton bullets are fired at an ultra-high speed of 128 rounds per second, reducing the target to dust.
7) Freezon Nitro Injection Device
A device that injects liquefied freezon directly into the thigh intake ducts. It is used during emergency detachments and other situations that require instantaneous explosive thrust. It can be used even during combined maneuvers, but the entire leg unit is enveloped in an ultra-high-temperature afterfire, so it can only be used for a few seconds.
8) Freezon Pulse Cannon
A rapid-fire Freezon pulse-type cannon. The standard armament of the Battles 01 armed launcher. Its destructive power is of standard level, but it can fire indefinitely as long as the generator is active.
9) Photon Maser Gun
An ultrasonic cannon that is effective underwater and in environments covered with dense gas, where the power of beam weapons and live ammunition is greatly reduced. It is also effective in battles against giant organic weapons.
10) Reversible Booster
A high-power multi booster that reverses the functions of the intake and jet nozzles under low load. The reversible Battles 02 model has been adjusted for use in the atmosphere. Output is reduced, but it can also be used in space or underwater by switching the generator circuit.
12) Freezon Main Engine
The most powerful of the 18 Freezon engines installed in the Dia-Battles V2.
13) Belt Thrasher
An armament for combat maneuvers that exposes super-hard cutters on the edge of the running crawler belt, which break and crush at ultra-high speed. Can also be used in Battle Su03 mode.
Battle Integrated Generator – “BIG-AI”
BIG-AI
The Battle Integrated Generator artificial intelligence (or “BIG-AI) is a conversational AI program for combat. It is installed as a head unit in most of the humanoid combat machines owned by the Diaclone Corps. Normally activated in decisive battle mode, it manages the complex total body drive control system and uses various sensors to carry out advanced decisive battle maneuvers together with the chief pilot. In order to ensure smooth cooperation, BIG-AI independently analyzes the best partnerships of the registered chief pilots and creates a “Buddy Interface” that is adjusted to the optimal voice and personality pattern. There are countless BIG-AI programs with various personalities for each machine. The host computer is the Gigazone’s central electronic brain, the LANDMASTER. During special missions that require ultra-precision, the LANDMASTER program may “board” directly.
