DA-13 Powered System Dirt Loader

The “Dirt Loader” is a traveling expansion unit that allows powered suits equipped with the Powered System to move and maneuver in battle on uneven terrain such as jungles and deserts. The vehicle’s body is made up of independent and complete functional modules that can be variably connected and operated with a small FZ generator. This allows for customization of armaments, as well as various reconfigurations such as a combat vehicle for personnel and a remotely operated self-propelled drone attack vehicle.

Vehicle Mode

A high-speed attack vehicle mode equipped with two free-zone beam cannons and capable of carrying two team members. The deployment position of the crawler can be changed depending on the situation, such as when driving or gunfire is prioritized. It can also be used as a simple craft vehicle by connecting the power vise attachment to the cannon barrel tip.

This is a running module equipped with two high-powered flexible crawlers on each side, commonly known as “jet boots,” which allow the heavyweight power suit to run at ultra-high speed at the level of the Road Viper. Armed with a cannon pack module for long-range attacks and a mounted blaster for close-range combat, it becomes an invincible all-purpose humanoid tank. There are also PS units that specialize in land combat with this mode as standard equipment.

What is a Powered Suit?

Powered Suits group shot

The Powered Suit is a versatile battle-enhancing armor that expands and amplifies the combat power of the Diaclone Corps. It can operate in all kinds of environments, and although it is small, a single suit has the fighting power of about 10 members of the Diaclone team. Many variations of the armor have been produced since it was first introduced, and the latest model, equipped with the Powered System, was designed by combining the technology of the Giga Zone and the Neo Attack System, resulting in the <Powered System>. The maximum output and mobility of this next-generation power suit have been dramatically improved compared to past models, and its variable functions have made it extremely easy to board, transport, and expand.

The Powered System includes models with a range of functions, such as A-Type (Attack Type) specialized attack type, B-Type (Barrier Type) specialized defense type, C-Type (Construction Type) specialized construction type, and D-Type (Drill Type) general-purpose type. Additionally, the E-Type (Extreme Type) which is the most mobile unit in the Powered System series. Two thrusters on the chest allow acrobatic flight maneuvers without the need for an expansion unit, Giving it VTOL and atmospheric combat capabilities.

Although the initial power suits developed for use against The Waruda mobile infantry were mainly used to support larger machines, they gradually gained recognition for their versatility and maneuverability, and were developed and organized as an independent “Diaclone Power Suit Force” that could be used in a variety of situations, including urban warfare, jungle warfare, base control, and sabotage operations.

During “Operation Ragnarok”, which ended the First War against Waruda, it demonstrated the flexible mobility that only a power suit unit can provide, and led the operation to victory. Each unit is operated in a formation of three to five units, and are now permanently deployed at bases across land, sea, air and space.

Raid Chambers

The Raid Chamber is a storage unit for housing and transporting powered suits. The outer shell is covered with anti-explosion and shock-resistant structural walls, and the interior can hold a set of weapons for expansion of the powered suit. The Raid Chamber has specifications for airborne and land transport, and is operated selectively depending on the mission. Thrusters are equipped under the left and right couplings for airborne use, and are activated during landing and emergency take-off. The shield unit, an option for connecting the chambers together to form a simple defensive colony, is also available.

Powered System

The Powered System is an enhancement plan that aims to dramatically improve the combat power and mobility of powered suits. In addition to the conventional power expansion function by fusing with a combat machine, it can be connected to a new bollet module connector and, although limited, can also be linked to the Mech Mode of other models in the Diabattles series, etc. The greatest feature of this model is its “variable functions,” which can be adjusted according to the purpose of use.

Boarding/storage mode

By transforming the Powered Suit to its minimum volume, it can be easily stored and transported, while at the same time making it easier for personnel to board the fighter.

Combination mode

This mode is applied when the machine is fused with a combat machine. By fixing both arms to the body frame, the powered suit is converted into a module, and the connected mecha can be freely controlled with the same sensation as the powered suit.

Maneuver Mode

This mode is mainly applied during combat. The is activated as a combat operating system when a member boards, and it links with the member’s brain wave patterns to perform man-machine integrated combat maneuvers. The pilot must undergo advanced training in order to operate the machine in a way that is completely different from the way a combat machine is operated.

Mech Mode

This is a manual control mode for non-combat long-distance travel. It is designed to relieve the crew from the stress of a closed environment during maneuver mode. When the hatch is closed, it becomes a remotely operated “drone aircraft” and is used to transport wounded personnel and for cover combat.
